Standard & Poor’s will remove Pepsi Bottling Group from the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Friday, February 26, 2010. S&P 500 constituent PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) is acquiring Pepsi Bottling Group. Previously announced as a TBA, Discovery Communications Inc. (DISCA) will replace Pepsi Bottling Group in the S&P 500 after the market close on February 26.
