CarMax Replaces XTO Energy on S&P 500 Index

New York, NY, June 22, 2010 – S&P will make the following changes to the S&P 500 Index after the close of trading on Friday, June 25, 2010:

S&P MidCap 400 constituent CarMax Inc. (NYSE:KMX) will replace XTO Energy Inc. (NYSE:XTO) in the S&P 500.
CarMax operates as a retailer of used cars. Headquartered in Richmond, VA, the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Automotive Retail Sub-Industry index.
